Raleigh Plans to Outgrow Charlotte?!

Someone recently asked me this simple question.

“What city in North Carolina should I keep an eye on?”

I replied, “Charl… Raleigh, of course!”

(I almost got you there, didn’t I?!)

Raleigh.

A place facing growth unknown to many metro areas across the country. From 2010 to 2020, Raleigh has had some of the highest growth in the entire United States, second only to Austin, Texas.

And it has only accelerated.

The City of Raleigh is embracing the changing environment the area is experiencing.

Recently, city leaders have unveiled a plan that pumps billions of dollars into the downtown area.

This investment could potentially double the number of people who live and work in the heart of the city.

Even towns around Raleigh can feel the waves of growth. Towns like Zebulon, Wendell, and Wake Forest are surging with development, and their rise has cemented Wake County as the fastest growing area in the state.

Many people would disagree with me, citing Charlotte as the obvious choice.

And to that, I have a few things to say...

Raleigh offers unique opportunities for people and companies Charlotte cannot compete with, starting with access to three world-renowned research institutions in Duke, University of North Carolina, and North Carolina State University.

Not to mention being a part of the Research Triangle Park and it’s proximity to other major growing cities like Durham.

Many, many exciting things are happening in Raleigh, and I am even more grateful to be a part of it.

I’m eager to see how this city progresses very soon.

Which Raleigh growth initiative excites you the most?
