Thank You for Saying Yes
A Brief Update about Lending a Hand
This is an off week for my newsletter so I wanted to take a second to say thanks for responding to my pole earlier this year about lending a hand.
I'm taking a slight departure from our regular newsletter format to share some more information about my mountains and express my gratitude to each of you who have chosen to be a part of this journey.
Your support means the world to me.
Your willingness to lend a hand speaks volumes, and to “get the ball rolling” I thought I’d go ahead and share what my goals look like in 2024.
So with that, here are the "mountains" I’m climbing;
Book Launch: I am thrilled to announce that I'll be launching my book this year. It's been a labor of love, and I can't wait to share it with the world.
Speaking Engagements: My goal is to connect with organizations and share insights from my story that can inspire positive change. I’d love for these efforts to incorporate my book’s material and be opportunities to engage with audiences of all sizes, in-person and virtually.
Nonprofit Venture: One of my most ambitious endeavors is the creation of a nonprofit foundation for my daughter. Her passion for helping others is infections and I envision this as a legacy I can pass on to her.
So those are the mountains, here are the goals and some inspiration for how you could help
Sell 10,000 copies of my book:
Do you know any organizations that could invite me to speak and purchase books for the audience?
Do you have an creative book marketing / selling ideas?
Speaking to 4 different audiences this year:
Are you aligned with an organization that would be interested in having me speak on one of the topics in my media kit
Do you or a connection have an outlet where I could be a guest (ex. podcast or panel)
Foundation creation: There is no formal structure around this at the moment but the 3 areas I’m evaluating are; financial literacy, our homeless population, and assisting underserved populations with entrepreneurship.
I’ve also updated my new site: www.gpatel.co with more information about me, my book, and my media kit.
If you know anyone I should connect with, have any ideas, or have some experience with any of the above, email is a great place to reach me; g@cityplat.com
Once again, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each of you for your continued support and encouragement. Your belief in me fuels my determination, and I am excited to embark on this journey with you by my side.
Stay tuned for future updates as the year progresses. Your thoughts and feedback are always appreciated.
